“To be a sustaining, growing and welcoming Indigenous Media Production Company that creates compelling and entertaining content for the world, across all platforms.”
WHO WE ARE
Bacon Factory Films was established in December 2013 by Aboriginal director, Dean Gibson. The company was formed with a view to give a voice to Indigenous people with a story to tell and to create films that would be around for future generations to watch, enjoy and learn from.
The company is made up of many years’ experience. Director Dean Gibson has spent more than ten years in the industry, directing productions for broadcast on ABC, NITV and SBS as well as national and international audiences online and through corporate productions. It is his passion for engaging content, eye for detail and love of film that drives what Bacon Factory Films is today.
Vanessa Gibson is the other part of the team, working in media, communications, scriptwriting, researching, producing and editing. As a radio journalist, she shares the passion for telling stories, with fast turnarounds, attention to detail, high standards and delivering to the audience at the heart of her work.
